Aiden/Jordi (Hurt Aiden): Jordi is such an asshole, and Aiden is also such an asshole, so letting them be assholes together is always fun. I love how much Jordi snarks and pokes and jabs at Aiden, along with his usual rambling humor over the comms when he’s sniping, and I love that Aiden just… takes it all in stride. It’s funny, because Jordi’s the one person Aiden seems to let his guard down around because Jordi’s predictable in all his sociopathy. Which is probably why his betrayal didn’t shock Aiden as badly as it should’ve; there was big money on the table, and Jordi warned him there was big money on the table, so eventually he should’ve expected Jordi to come after him.

I love post-canon fic that dances around that betrayal, Jordi and Aiden working themselves back into each other’s good graces through jobs together until they just sort of fall into bed. I also really love pining on Aiden’s behalf, especially pining while actively fucking Jordi, because Jordi made it abundantly clear that he doesn’t do feelings or love or anything like that (and if there’s one character flaw Aiden definitely has, it’s feeling too much, too deeply, too intensely to handle sometimes.)

A/B/O - "beta's" suppressants stop working and is revealed to be an omega

Exactly what it says on the tin! I’d love anything that plays with the expectations about alphas/betas/omegas and organized crime, or exploring exactly why Aiden was trying to hide—and the consequences, now that he can’t anymore.

I’ve always enjoyed background Damien/Aiden and a lot of the overtones in their relationship in canon; the idea that they had a (shitty) D/s relationship is just the cherry on that sundae. The only thing I love more than slap-slap-kiss is when all of that gets put to the side when the chips are down, revealing hidden depths in either party. Also giving Jordi a caring side has got to look weird, so I’d love to see it!

M!Ryder/Jaal Ama Darav (Hurt Ryder): I had a couple false starts the first time I tried to play Andromeda, but that just meant that coming back to it later gave me the chance to romance Jaal and holy shit, what a good idea that was. I love the way he flirts with everyone but he gives his heart, without hesitation, to Scott when they fall in love. I also love just how dorky Scott in love is in return, and I love how earnestly both of them try to learn each other’s culture.

And my god, was this game wonderful for whump for me. Between tragic pasts for everyone, Scott’s ongoing health issues if he’s the Pathfinder, his ongoing health issues if he isn’t... There’s a lot of angles to really dig into, and I love basically all of them.

Quackity/Sapnap: I absolutely adore Quackity and Sapnap as a study in contrasts; they’re both guys who crack a lot of jokes and deflect with humor, and they’re both a couple characters who’ve spent a long time getting overlooked. And there’s something deeply tragic to me about the two of them having to go it alone as Karl drifts further and further away from them, not quite understanding why. Sapnap’s kind of a dipshit and Quackity is a hell of a lot smarter than he lets on and both of them only ever really let their guard down around the ones they love anymore—a list growing smaller with every day.

And, well. I’m shallow. I like it when Quackity is a frail, delicate bitch and Sapnap’s a wall of pure muscle. Especially if those two facts make people underestimate them—Quackity’s not weak, and Sapnap’s a lot smarter than he lets on sometimes.

I look at Quackity in the Las Nevadas arc and I think “control freak” and then I look at omegaverse and all the implications there and then I look at how those two can combine and it’s very fun, actually. Whether or not omegas are oppressed or if it’s just a weakness that Quackity can’t afford to have after all the weakness he’s shown before, I’m good with anything. I just want to see him break.

Look, Schlatt/Quackity sure had one hell of a dynamic, and the way that Quackity has to move on in the aftermath… I’d love to see that explored. I’d prefer if Sapnap were the father, but if it works better to have it as some tragic backstory, that’s fine too; either way, a lot of focus on Quackity freaking out over this is a plus.

Sometimes you just want to see a guy lose a limb and have to learn to live with it. Could be a lot of fun to play in an AU setting (caving incident? earthquake he got stuck in?) or something in canon that touches on the respawn system and everything. Medical accuracy is something I’m keen on—and I can handle a high amount of gore—but if you’d rather skim over the nitty gritty of it and focus on the post-amputation aspect, that’s fine too!

Less potentially permanent than the ones above, with lots of room to play in it still. I really like the idea of Sapnap powering through something he really shouldn’t have and suffering the consequences, and Quackity flipping his shit over it because you absolute dumbass of course your pain matters. Could be fun to play with ideas of who should be protecting who in this relationship too.

Quackity/Sapnap (Both Hurt):
character A and B are the last people left alive after the end of the world

Post-apocalyps AU! Zombie AU! DSMP ending AU! There’s lots of places to start from with this, and lots of places to take it; the hurt can be physical, emotional, or both. It’s the end of the world, it’s going to suck for everyone.

Character A is under a Spell/Curse and Character B's Love sets them free

I could go either way on who’s cursed and who sets the free, but some mutual suffering along the way is exactly the kind of vibe I want. Maybe even something in the curse that means the cursed one can’t tell their partner about it? If the curse has agonizing physical effects, that’s a bonus.

Character who usually makes minor injuries/illnesses known goes quiet when it's actually serious

The rift that’s slowly forming between them making Quackity and Sapnap both uncertain if they’re overstepping with something like this, even if they can tell it’s serious by the way neither of them are talking… it’s fun. Feel free to steal from any of the other freeforms for this one too, I’m happy to see it play out in any way.

Karl Jacobs/Quackity/Sapnap (hurt Quackity): As much as I love Quackity and Sapnap on their own, I adore all three fiances just as much—Karl brings an energy to the three of them that’s a breath of fresh air, and the ways they all bounce off each other can be really gun. I think there’s an interesting tension in the later ends of things, as Karl is losing his memory and Quackity is deliberately withdrawing to pursue his own goals, and the ways where who they are as people breaks it down.

But before then, where it’s the three of them planning and falling in love and being dumb assholes together, that’s one of my favorite points in their relationship. It’s easy to see why they fell for each other and how they wanted to move into a bright new future, and the support that both Karl and Sapnap can offer Quackity is something I love seeing explored in fic.

Aftermath - Character A only feels safe when B is around

This is a prompt that feels self-evident, but I’m happy to see it set at any point in canon—post-Schlatt, post-execution, hell, write an AU where the Las Nevadas arc doesn’t end quite like that—and if Quackity’s in denial about how badly it’s fucked him up, all the better. B can be Karl, Sapnap, or both of them, I’m not picky.

Revived!Schlatt would be a lot of fun here, but Glatt could be too. Seeing him try to pull the usual games with Quackity, seeing Quackity start to crumble even as he puts on a big show about not caring… and then Karl and Sapnap at his back, giving him the support he needs to make the fiction a reality.

Wingfic - Character has to hide their wings; is found out when hurt/sick & can no longer hide them

I just really like it when Quackity has duck wings, and is ashamed of his wings, and hurts himself hiding them and can’t hide them any longer. Especially if there’s a lot of preening and intimacy that follows, comforts he’s never allowed himself to have before now.

Dream/Technoblade: Rivals my fucking beloved—definitely one of my enduring ships for a reason. There’s a lot of respect between Dream and Technoblade, both as combatants and as people with reputations that turn them into objects of fear for the rest of the server, and there’s still humor too. Technoblade’s relentless bullying of Dream is hysterical, and Dream’s flustered outrage only makes the joke better. It’s one of those ships where the humor is half the appeal for me.

The other half of the appeal is definitely the ways that the two of them get thoroughly beat on in canon though. As much as they’re forces of nature in war, between Dream’s imprisonment and torture, and Technoblade’s execution and abandonment by the people he considered allies, I think there’s a lot of shared ground in the feeling of betrayal between them. And there’s that warrior’s respect between them that makes acknowledging those hurts a careful dance of what they’re willing to say versus what they’re willing to hear. (Both of them having the emotional sensitivity of a rock does not help.)

Okay. The prison. Do I really need to say more? Set during, or after, I’m not terribly picky on timing—I’ve just never met a fic exploring Dream’s experiences in it that I didn’t like, and I’m always on the lookout for more. Especially if it has a much greater toll on his ability to function than it originally seems.

If there’s anyone that would 5D chess themselves into believing that this is all a ploy to garner their respect for some transactional purpose, it’s Dream. Could be fun to play with Ranboo and the revive book and him believing that any comfort is entirely reliant on his ability to do what Technoblade wants him to do, even though this obviously isn’t the case.

Prison podcast made this all but canon anyways, so there it is. Dream’s a huge bitch about being injured and Technoblade takes it in stride!

Look, he was in there with Dream for at least three months, and Quackity visited once—what if he visited more often? What if Technoblade’s the one taking the hit, because Quackity figured out fast that for all Dream’s claims about not having attachments, here’s one very real one right in front of him? Alternatively, post prison breakout Technoblade withstanding torture to avoid revealing Dream’s location (if he knows it) and Dream finding out only after all is said and done.

Normally Intimidating A Is Surprisingly Gentle When Taking Care Of Hurt B

Dream’s an intense guy! I think it would be interesting if he was a really intense guy who could tone it down when he had to.

This one seems pretty self-explanatory, but it’s one I think could make a really fun dynamic in an AU of some kind. Setting change AUs are my jam, and the rivals dynamic is one of my favorite things to see explored in them.

The wording on this is a bit ambiguous, so I’m fine with it being Technoblade forced to relieve Dream being tortured or Dream forced to relieve Technoblade being executed or a fighter in gladiatorial blood sports or something—as long as the focus is on Technoblade being the one most impacted by it.

Dream/Technoblade (Both Hurt):

Prison breakout… from the inside maybe? Or just surviving prison with a side-order of mutual torture. Why save it for one when both of them can be whumped for it!

Lot of fun to be had with Technoblade taking fatal damage rescuing Dream and Dream’s injuries from the prison being so much worse than they were. Especially if there’s the canon lives system or respawn at play, making everyone worried about how far is enough to count. Thank fuck Dream has that revive book, huh?

Character(s) with strong powers being used as literal/metaphorical weapons

Another one that would make a fantastic setting change AU premise. There’s a lot of fun to be had in a setting where institutional power is much stronger than what Dream and Techno can bring to bear on their own—especially if, together, they can actually do something to rip the system down.

Dream/Technoblade/Philza (Hurt Dream): The doomsday stream is one of my favorites for how the dynamics play out between all three of these guys, between the frenetic energy that Technoblade and Dream have to the surprising bloodthirstiness of Phil out there with the withers. There’s a lot of fun to be had in their contrasting reputations and approaches to life, because all three of them are very different, and seeing how those feelings scrape against each other or meld seamlessly, depending.

I also really like the idea of Technoblade and Philza being an established relationship and Dream being brought in as a late addition. The kind of uncertainty Dream would absolutely have over that, witnessing the way Technoblade and Philza seem to be perfectly in sync, there’s some great angst fodder there. And I think that’s especially fun to explore in a post-prison scenario, where Dream’s sense of self has been brutally shaken up, and in some ways seeing the two of them being perfect together isn’t helping.

Post-prison recovery! I love cuddling and shared bathing as comfort tropes, and especially the idea of Dream only being able to sleep if one of them is next to them. Playing with the idea of his injuries being much more crippling than he anticipated is a lot of fun too, especially if Dream gets frustrated over how much he can’t do without aid

Second verse, same as the first—except maybe Dream is more able than he is otherwise, or at least wants to project that. Until he can’t anymore, and he’s forced to confront the fact that his body isn’t an imperfect tool, it’s something he genuinely has to care for (and if he won’t Technoblade and Philza will.)

Polyamory - New Third in Relationship Mistakenly Believes Only One of the Others Wants Them

I love Dream being an idiot and I love Dream pining. Mix the two together, and you’ve got a lot of room for him to make some stupid assumptions, especially with two of the most reticent fuckers on the server being the ones pulling him into their marriage.

Look, Philza’s got those big beautiful wings (or, at least, one and a half of them) and Dream’s got a broken body and a slowly growing understanding of how much it is that Philza’s lost, coming to this server. They should make out about it.
