Ships:

Aiden/Jordi: Jordi is such an asshole, and Aiden is also such an asshole, so letting them be assholes together is always fun. I love how much Jordi snarks and pokes and jabs at Aiden, along with his usual rambling humor over the comms when he’s sniping, and I love that Aiden just… takes it all in stride. It’s funny, because Jordi’s the one person Aiden seems to let his guard down around because Jordi’s predictable in all his sociopathy. Which is probably why his betrayal didn’t shock Aiden as badly as it should’ve; there was big money on the table, and Jordi warned him there was big money on the table, so eventually he should’ve expected Jordi to come after him.

I love post-canon fic that dances around that betrayal, Jordi and Aiden working themselves back into each other’s good graces through jobs together until they just sort of fall into bed. I also really love pining on Aiden’s behalf, especially pining while actively fucking Jordi, because Jordi made it abundantly clear that he doesn’t do feelings or love or anything like that (and if there’s one character flaw Aiden definitely has, it’s feeling too much, too deeply, too intensely to handle sometimes.)

I’m also into AUs, any AUs, but especially AUs which deal with the supernatural. Jordi just feels like he could be something unknowable and inhuman, a vampire or a fae or an old god, and it’s really fun to consider how Aiden stumbling into that world could go. Jordi as a guide or Jordi as an opposing force and then there’s Aiden, who’s really good at ferreting his way into situations he absolutely should not be in and then toppling all the power structures on his way—there’s a great urban fantasy AU to be had there, is what I’m saying.

Demon Slayer

- What is Wrong with Inosuke. Why is he Like That (affectionate).
- Setting change AUs that really work with the feral child thing or adjust Tanjiro's Very Bad No Good Awful Day to fit the setting

- Trauma exploration and PTSD, especially in regards to how things like Mugen Train would linger in the mind
- Inosuke wearing women's clothing and not grasping why other people might have an issue with it because frankly he'd rather be wearing no clothing at all but SOME PEOPLE insist he needs to WEAR PANTS

Ships:

Tanjiro/Inosuke: Man. Where to begin with Tanjiro; there’s something about a character that is so dedicated to being kind, who has been shaped utterly by hardship and trauma but refuses to lose that quintessential compassion that really appeals to me. And I do love that Inosuke—someone whose life has been shaped by hardship in many ways too, but is learning what kindness is over the course of the series—starts to use Tanjiro as his model for human behavior and a touchpoint for everything he doesn’t understand. The way Tanjiro is, in a lot of ways, what lets Inosuke really learn empathy (and the ways Inosuke can be the reckless anger and emotion that Tanjiro discards in favor of kindness) is a lot of fun!

The likes probably say it all, but one of the things that is so fun about both of them is that they have such awful backstories which shape them in a lot of ways, and I love to see that explored. Inosuke’s grasp of language despite being a feral child and how that doesn’t confer any sort of grasp on culture (or education), and Tanjiro’s experiences both growing up in crushing poverty as the eldest responsible son and the eventual slaughter of his family—I really like when fic digs into that. Especially in AUs! I don’t think there’s anything about their backstories and eventual relationship that can’t be transferred to different times and places, so playing in that space is a lot of fun for me.

In terms of canon-based fic, I’m more than happy with missing scenes, or with tweaking the canon timeline to stretch out over more time, or diverging entirely from the plot to keep them as demon slayers for longer. I don’t mind the epilogue as written, though the timeskip isn’t really relevant here; if you want to stick to a very strict reading of canon for post-canon fic, feel free!

My Hero Academia

- Disability exploration, both in terms of just straight up canon whumping the shit out of people and quirk-based side effects
- Worldbuilding in regards to how hero agencies work and what the legalities of quirk use or hero work looks like
- Slowburn
- Bakugo having messy, ugly breakdowns about shit all the time forever
- Canon-divergence, post-canon fic, fic where everyone is heroes and the aftermath of the war doesn't bar anyone from working as heroes, fic where the aftermath of the war means no one is able to pursue their dreams as heroes and the impacts of that

Ships:

Katsuki/Shouto: Hey do you ever think about how Shouto’s effortless display of skill during their first hero lesson was one of the major fractures in Katsuki’s confidence in his own abilities that set him on a massive downward spiral that would end up with him cratering out after the provisional license exam? Because I sure do.

I love Katsuki and Shouto as contrasts, but also as mirrors to each other. Both of them are, in some ways, defined by anger (especially early on for Shouto, before he became friends with Izuku and started opening up) but also by these impressive, unbelievable quirks—and both of them end up really getting their faces rubbed in the fact that you can’t be a hero with anger and power alone. But also the ways that Shouto is learning to be open with others and choosing to be kind and remaking himself into someone who isn’t angry, whereas Katsuki is, well. Fondly looks at him yelling at fans in 430. And yet! Both of them are still doing their best, they’re both striving ever forward, and I love that they’re so dedicated to their own ideals of heroism even with their clashing personalities.

(On an entirely shallow level, they’re also both very pretty, and I think they would be very pretty together.)

In general, the setting of MHA is one that interests me enough that I don’t find myself seeking out setting change/quirkless AUs that often, but I’m definitely open to them! I’m also a huge fan of canon divergence at basically any point; fic that plays that rivalry as much more hostile, or fic where Katsuki doesn’t get rescued in Kamino, splitting the timeline after Jaku City to make them pro heroes in a world where the Final War never happened… That said, the handling of Katsuki’s injuries during that arc (and his death!) is something I love to see in action, so straightforward post-canon fic is great too! I think there’s a lot of room to play in that space, and I would love to see anything you decide to do with it.

Bladerunner

Fic - 10k, Fic - 5k

- Whumping the absolute SHIT out of K
- Exploration of what it means to be a person and how much self-actualization actually makes a difference to that perception

- Pre-canon and post-canon divergence AUs

Character:

Officer K | Joe: I LOVE K A LOT. I think Ryan Gosling brings a really good combination of violence and vulnerability to his acting, and that really works well with K as a character. He’s made to be a killer, but he’s a deeply sensitive character anyways; he speaks softly and tries to be gentle but he is, in the end, a very brutal enforcer of a specific kind of justice. He’s a murderer in an unassuming package. And I think there’s something really sad about the way he wants (dreads) being special, when he thinks he’s the lost child, and then has that rug pulled out from under him.

I’d love any sort of pre-canon mission reports and character exploration of him, shipping optional. If you do want to do something shippy, at any point in canon (or in AUs!) I have no strong feelings about who to ship him with—I like basically every ship I’ve seen, because I like K and he’s a lot of fun in every possible dynamic.

But also, just hurt K. Beat the fuck out of him. Make him stand back up and keep moving forward as he slowly bleeds out, because he's not allowed to actually take a break. He suffers so prettily.
